Pyrenean Platform for Observation of the Atmosphere

Official ww site: https://p2oa.aeris-data.fr/

Under the aegis of the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées (OMP) and Toulouse’s Paul Sabatier University, the Plateforme Pyrénéenne d’Observation Atmosphérique (P2OA) brings together observation resources at two sites: here at the Pic du Midi, but also at the Centre de Recherche Atmosphérique de Lannemezan located at an altitude of 600 m at the foot of the Pyrenees, 28 km to the northeast. This dual platform enables us to make vertically staggered observations, and to study air mass exchanges between the plains and mountains. P2OA covers a wide range of atmospheric science research topics: low-level dynamics, water and carbon cycles, gaseous chemistry, aerosols, atmospheric electricity and instrumental development. P2OA hosts instruments from laboratories in Toulouse and outside the OMP.
