Context
Observations made at T1m benefit from the site’s excellent image quality, and the best CCD images obtained are comparable to those presented by the Hubble Space Telescope. Programs are divided between systematic observations of the meteorology of the giant planets (Jupiter and Saturn), monitoring of the surface of Mars in particular in the context of space missions, and more opportunistic campaigns to study comets that come to visit us or other small bodies in our solar system (asteroids).
